What is the Network Layer and Internet Layer?
Data communication is the process of exchanging information between two or more devices over a network. In this process, data is transmitted from the source device to the destination device through various layers of the network protocol stack. Network Layer:

Internet Layer:
The Internet Layer is a subset of the Network Layer and forms the core of the internet architecture. It focuses on the transfer of packets across interconnected networks, regardless of the underlying technologies or protocols used by each network.
The Internet Layer mainly uses the IP protocol to encapsulate the data and route the packets across the internet. By assigning unique IP addresses to devices, it enables the seamless and reliable end-to-end delivery of data packets from the source to the destination.
In addition to routing packets, the Internet Layer is responsible for fragmentation and reassembly of data packets, error handling, and congestion control. It ensures efficient data transfer across the internet, even in the presence of network congestion or failures.
Overall, the Network Layer and the Internet Layer play crucial roles in data communication. They enable devices to communicate across different networks and ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of data packets.
